Photos: Nigerian flag designer finally remembered and placed on a lifetime salary

Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, a name almost every person who received primary education in Nigeria know, is finally remembered by the government.

And today, he was decorated as an Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic, OFR, by President Jonathan, 55 years after designing the flag.

He wasn't only given an award today, the president also said he will be placed on a lifetime salary that must be in line with what any Senior Special Advisers earns.
Wow! That's huge. He deserves it and even more... I'm really happy for him (--)..
